• Do you travel by public transportation? Then the full cost will be reimbursed. It is also possible to use a rental car;

• Do you travel business kilometers with your own transportation? Then you will receive a mileage allowance of € 0.36 per kilometer, of which € 0.23 is untaxed.

Are you an experienced facility manager with a passion for overseeing the comprehensive management of chemical facilities and ensuring a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance? Then Covestro is looking for you!

The facility manager acts an asset owner of the office buildings and site infrastructure and is also responsible for the facility management on the entire site. Amongst the facility services is also security. The facility manager assures that all necessary organizational, constructional and electronic security controls measures are in place to mitigate the identified security risks. Finally, the facility manager manages the operational strength of the emergency response organization.

Main Tasks

Asset owner of office buildings and site infrastructure

• Further develops assets in accordance with BU strategy, initiates modifications and investment projects;

• You ensure operational emergency and incident management, reporting and investigation of incidents and timely implementation of resulting measures.

Facility management

• You develop and initiate facility services and improvements. Aligns needs with Sourcing as input for contract scope review;

• You manage maintenance of office buildings and infrastructure (e.g. roads, landscaping) and control the approved budgets for required services.

Head of security

• You act on behalf of management in security affairs and is the liaison with external relations like contractors and security organizations;

• You shape security organization based on internal corporate requirements, security risk assessment, and available constructional/electronic security controls;

• You supervise and control the (contracted) security guard force;

• You take care of incident management, reporting and investigation of incidents and timely implementation of resulting measures. Ensures security reporting in accordance with company regulations.

Fire brigade

• You make a long-term plan for staffing, respective roles, and required recruitment in accordance with site permit;

• You are responsible for reliability of fire safety systems on site, manage the maintenance work process, shape service contract with main contractor, and assure adequate follow-up on remarks in inspection reports.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• You have a bachelor degree and 5 years work experience in Facility or Technology management;

• You have a very good knowledge of company internal regulations, as well as legal requirements;

• You have a high degree of identification and sense of responsibility (ownership) with the area of responsibility and natural assertiveness;

• You have a strong communication and social skills;

• You are open-minded and challenge the status quo;

• You keep an overview in stressful situations;

• You work independently but is also able to trust others and delegate tasks;

• You have experience in working with multifunctional teams;

• You have a good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken.
