We are looking for enthusiastic IT Engineers with passion for IT to strengthen one of our ETL value delivery team's. You will contribute to a future proof application landscape within the Finance and Risk domain by the implementing a General ledger and Domain datastore. Your job

You will be working within one of the ETL Devops blocks. The ETL blocks are responsible to extract transform and load the data from the data distribution platform of ABN AMRO into the General ledger. We are currently in the process of migration the application to Azure after which the team will also be responsible for the underlying infrastructure in the private azure cloud environment of ABN AMRO.

Some of the activities are:


• Deploy Infrastructure as a code
• Help the team in the next steps to improve CICD Framework
• Maintain the ETL application Azure platform
• Solve vulnerabilities, security and compliance issues
• Support and Monitoring operations following ITIL principles
• Align proactively with stakeholders from business and IT
• Automate everything you can

Working environment

As an IT Engineer you will help to find and implement the best solutions for the Finance Grid department of the bank. The Finance Grid is responsible for defining and successfully implementing all majors changes initiatives within the Finance domain.
As part of General Ledger and Domain data store project you will be working on one of the major initiatives within the Finance Grid and contribute in the realisation of the Target Data & (solution) Architecture of the Finance and Risk domain.
We are a multidisciplinary and multicultural DevOps team in which you have the chance to work with the latest tools and technology in Microsoft Azure. In our strive to modernize our landscape we are presently in the final process of migrating our ETL environment to the Cloud.
The team follows the scrum methodology and adopted a hybrid way of working. We work mostly from home and communicate virtually throughout the day. Once a week we get together in office but it is possible to come to the office more frequently.

Your profile

  • 2-5 years of IT-related work experience, e.g. cloud engineering, data engineering development, code review, testing and/or maintenance.
  • You have your Microsoft Certification AZ-104 or AZ-204
  • Proven expertise with CICD tooling (Azure devops, YAML pipelines, etc)
  • Proven knowledge of versioning and testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and/or Azure Cli
  • Familiarity with unit testing and test automation in general
