We are currently seeking an IT Machine Learning Engineer to join our CAAP RB-OPS team. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in working with data and analytics. In this role, your day-to-day tasks will include (pair)programming, conducting analyses, and collaborating with stakeholders. Your job

As an IT Machine Learning Engineer, you will have the valuable opportunity to join the CAAP RB-OPS team, a team focused on Rule Based Operations in the Client due diligence Advanced Analytics Platform. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop innovative solutions using Python, ensuring that the code is efficiently deployed with best practices in mind. We are particularly interested in individuals who possess experience with Python/PySpark, as well as expertise in unit testing and functional acceptance testing. If you possess these skills, you may be an exceptional fit for our team.

In addition to your proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Spark, familiarity with Azure DevOps is highly desirable. Furthermore, knowledge of other tools and languages such as IntelliJ/PyCharm, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage Explorer, and Synapse Studio would be considered a significant advantage.

Working environment

In the Detecting Financial Crime Grid, our primary focus is on developing and managing the CDD/KYC processes and applications within the bank. Our dedicated team, known as CAAP RB-OPS, is committed to delivering innovative solutions and services in the field of client and transaction monitoring.

As an ML Engineer, your role is vital in this process. You collaborate closely with a diverse group of professionals, including Product Owners, Business Developers, IT Engineers, and Data Scientists. Together, you strive to create and implement cutting-edge technologies that automate and enhance the Client and Transaction Monitoring processes.

In your day-to-day work, you will interact with teams both within and outside of the DFC Grid, operational stakeholders, and the Innovation & Design departments. Through these collaborations, you contribute to the development of state-of-the-art solutions that align with the bank's objectives and regulatory requirements.

Your profile

You possess a responsible and proactive approach to your work, always taking ownership of tasks and ensuring successful outcomes for yourself and others. You have a growth mindset, constantly seeking opportunities for personal and professional development.

Your skills include:

  • Holding a university degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Management, Data Science, or related fields, demonstrating your strong academic foundation.
  • Having over three years of experience in an IT environment, giving you a solid understanding of industry practices and requirements.
  • Possessing more than three years of experience working with Data Analytic platforms, equipping you with the knowledge and expertise needed in this field.
  • Demonstrating familiarity with open-source machine learning technology and platforms, such as Python. Your experience allows you to work with both internal and external, structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Having a strong understanding of Python/PySpark and testing methodologies, enabling you to effectively develop and validate machine learning models.
  • Being well-versed in tools like GIT, CI pipelines, and deployment pipelines, showcasing your expertise in version control and continuous integration/deployment practices.
  • Embracing an Agile Scrum way of working, emphasizing collaboration, flexibility, and adaptation to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
