Job Description The Associate Director, U.S. Pricing & Health System Analytics serves as the cell therapy pricing & analytics lead for Kite’s portfolio supporting five on-market indications and the pipeline. This role is responsible for leading the implementation of cell therapy strategic pricing & analytics, generating actionable insights, and is accountable for executing US Health System performance reporting initiatives. You will work in close partnership with the U.S. Health System Strategy and Marketing Leads, finance, commercial strategy & analytics, field Director’s, National Accounts, Sales Stakeholders, HEOR, Medical, and Legal to meet brand goals. You will thrive in a rapidly evolving cell therapy environment, develop meaningful internal partnerships, and act with agility. This role is ideally located at Kite’s HQ in Santa Monica and reports to the Senior Director of U.S. Health Systems Access and Pricing. A remote arrangement may be considered. Key Responsibilities Supports the development of US pricing strategy, business cases, and presentations to Kite Pricing Committee in collaboration with market access leadership and brand leads for on-market and pipeline products Partners with the HEOR to ensure pricing strategies and consider real world evidence Develop dynamic US-based pricing models to strengthen Kite strategic pricing and contracting decisions including government pricing implications (IRA, MBP, AMP, ASP, etc.) Develop hospital, community practice and payer economic models to understand and project business impact to CART class and Kite therapies across settings of care Assess creative value-based pricing and contracting constructs for all segments with cross-functional team identifying operational blueprint as needed. Conduct external pricing research with Commercial Strategy & Analytics team to understand payer and ATC needs in the US cell therapy market to enhance market access strategies and tactics Responsible for developing, coordinating, and encouraging alignment for US pricing forecast for LRP and annual budget process across Kite’s portfolio Partner cross-functionally to create Coverage, Reimbursement, and Pricing dashboards to monitor Kite performance and identify areas of business opportunity In coordination with finance, review gross-to-net accruals and develop commentary as required for monthly and quarterly business reviews Implement government state transparency reporting for Kite on quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc basis as required Monitor, analyze, and inform senior leaders on proposed health care policy impacts to Kite’s portfolio, collaborating closely with the finance and policy teams to quantify impact Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, as well as US healthcare laws and regulations Basic Qualifications Master’s Degree and 8+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience OR High School Degree and 14+ years of experience Preferred Qualifications Extensive Market Access & Pricing financial expertise within US Healthcare System to include buy and bill, inpatient and outpatient hospital economics, governmental reimbursement, and payer/provider economics Demonstrated achievement in developing excel based strategic pricing models by leveraging market research and government pricing reasonable assumptions to deliver analytics and recommendations for resolution making for buy-and-bill products in highly complex and competitive markets Meaningful communication and leadership skills with demonstrated experience in guiding cross-functional assessments, and delivering business case presentations to senior leadership Ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams to develop creative solutions where precedent may not exist Excellent strategic agility with thorough grasp of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry for physician administered products Outstanding partnering skills with exceptionally meaningful and highly effective working relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholders; regarded as a functional thought partner Excellent organizational & time management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage and complete multiple priorities and projects In-depth knowledge of current GP compliance requirements and regulations Extensive understanding of the hematology / oncology clinical landscape and the business of cell therapy Advanced pricing analytics experience including knowledge of government pricing mechanics for buy and bill products Experience developing contracting strategies and key terms and conditions for implementation across payers and providers Engagement experience with payer, provider, channel, and health policy experience desirable Demonstrates experience and able to effectively guide senior business leaders #LI-ML1 The salary range for this position is: $173,910.00 - $225,060.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
