Responsibility

• Prevention of unnecessary production downtime.
• Correct and timely resolution of the breakdown.
• Alternative solution of the breakdown if items are not in stock.
• Correct execution of maintenance.
• Proper (interim and post) feedback towards the internal customer.
• Administrative processing of hours, used material, stocks within own department.
• Working in accordance with safety standards.
• Assessing safety and taking necessary actions, such as stopping the machine

Result areas

• Independently localizing, analyzing (reading drawings and documentation and interpreting) and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and software malfunctions in technical installations.
• Remedying malfunctions by means of spare parts that are in stock, or acting creatively and inventively to guarantee the progress of production. If necessary, calling in the supplier. Performance of geometrical control and adjustment of machines concerning working tolerances. Using measuring tools, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and geometric.
• Operating various CNC machine tools using programming functions and machine specific programs. Setting the parameters of the operating software of the machines. Making backups of operating system.
• Rotating breakdown shifts, requiring independent troubleshooting. There is no fall-back possibility.
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance according to planning lists on the machines.
• Assisting and supervising external mechanics during major maintenance of technical installations.
• Participating in the performance of maintenance and coordinating the work.
• Identifying technical improvements to the machines, production processes and reporting to production.
• Advising (and realizing) regarding modifications to optimize the technical installations.
• Remedying malfunctions regarding facility matters, such as on buildings in both electrical and architectural areas.
• Assisting and supervising external mechanics during building maintenance.
• Discuss potential solutions and required actions with supervisor and feedback to stakeholders.
• Administrative processing of work in computerized system, including recording hours and material usage of own work, building fault database.

Desired education

• Education level: MBO education or work and thinking level
• Preferred education: MTS mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering
• Experience: 5 years experience in similar position

• Siemens 840C, 840D and Mazatrol controls
• Geometric measurement of machines
• Forklift certificate
• Aerial work platform certificate
• Safe hoisting certificate (internal training)
