For an international fintech company in Amsterdam we are currently looking for a Finance Manager (m/v/x). Role and Responsibilities of the Finance Manager in Amsterdam:

You will assist the Controller (located in the US) with the ownership of our accounting systems and processes. You will manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Dutch GAAP or IFRS. In this role, you will assist in the creation and execution of the company accounting policies, ensuring our ledger balances are in order, and help prepare annual statutory financial statements and audited financials.

In this role you will:

• Play a crucial role in the companies accounting policies and procedures, the financial close process and related activities, including monthly review of financial statements, reconciliation of ledger balances and accounts with payment partner
• Oversee the accounting operations of Dutch subsidiary and work with our external Dutch tax advisors
• Assist with statutory compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and relevant tax filings in the US and in the Netherlands
• Lead outgoing international payments flow and conduct periodic reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and manage the company's cash flow
• Manage relationships with the external US auditors, International payment partners and Dutch tax advisors
• Supervise and perform payroll as necessary

Your profile:

• Several years of overall combined accounting and/or finance experience. Prior accounting experience in a fast moving startup is preferred
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principlesand procedures, with advanced degree in Accounting preferred
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• English only is also possible
