As Data Analyst Airport Operations you will generate actionable insights into the airport’s operational processes to optimize key metrics such as flight on-time performance, asset capacity optimization and passenger flows in the terminal.How you achieve results in this?   • Exploring and analyzing the potential value of new datasets for our data solutions.
  • Designing and implementing experiments along with the business to test hypotheses and evaluate the effectiveness of different concepts using data.
  • Prototyping dashboards, reports, and other data visualization aids to support decision-making on a one-off basis or to help productionize them.
  • Conducting exploratory data analyses to identify patterns and trends in large data sets.
  • Applying storytelling and data visualization to convince your business stakeholders of your findings.

Through strategic use of AI, data, and applied data science, the DnA team identifies growth opportunities and drives innovations with new data products and services across Schiphol. The team is also responsible for ensuring high standards of data governance and quality, maintaining a centralized business intelligence function, and working closely with IT to develop a future-proof data infrastructure.

  • 3+ years of working in a data team, with meaningful experience in data analytics across multiple fields.
  • Hbo/wo-level education in engineering, econometrics, sciences, business analytics, or related with a strong quantitative component.
  • Experience in translating business requirements to data products or insights.
  • The Ability to tell compelling stories with data and present outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages, particularly Python and relevant libraries such as Pandas, Pyspark and Plotly or Matplotlib.
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English with Dutch fluency as a plus.

You get this

  • € 4744 to € 6582 gross per month (Schaal 12).
  • A 13th month (year-end bonus).
  • The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
  • An NS Business Card that fully reimburses travel by public transportation to and from work.
