UW Health is actively searching for a talented individual to assume the role of System Vice President Facilities & Support Services. The qualified individual will provide strategic leadership for all UW Health physical locations and properties, including facilities management, planning/design/construction, space optimization, sustainability, property management, and campus transformation activities. The System VP Facilities & Support Services is a crucial role providing direction and strategic leadership to UW Health. This individual will be responsible for the oversight of all facilities and support services functions. The System VP Facilities & Support Services will also work collaboratively with project executives in the planning and execution of building projects and major renovations ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This leader will ensure operational excellence for the facilities operation and is responsible for strategic planning, contract negotiations, progress and performance, and oversight of the financials for the department.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering, or Architecture and seven years of progressively responsible management as a senior leader in the field of engineering, facility management, planning/construction, or related areas with knowledge of health care facilities is required; a master’s degree and experience in an academic medical center is preferred. The System VP Facilities & Support Services will need to be a humble leader, be nimble with change, and embrace a fast-paced environment. They will be politically savvy and have experience navigating a complex environment that serves many different constituents. This collaborative leader will create an environment of customer service excellence and build effective and productive relationships both internally and externally. The next leader will also help in identifying future needs of the organization and a strong mission orientation.
