About this role Job Purpose The Group Marketing Communications Director is responsible for developing and leading our internal and external communications strategy and execution, based on Barentz's strategic brand positioning platform. Our goal is to be recognized as the leading life science ingredients partner for customers and principals worldwide, by creating sustained success for our customers and communities, our principals, people, and ultimately the planet. You support the executive leadership (divisional and regional leadership) as an external communications advisor and strategist, working directly with supporting experts. You will ensure messaging and narrative alignment across our matrixed organization. As part of a global team, you will use creative thinking and deep expertise to develop the actual creative and production of the content to be used in our communication to our customers and principals, to our employees, and to our key stakeholders. Customers/principals/key-stakeholders sentiment, awareness and engagement Alignment of our customer experience across the globe, within the 4 regions and life science vertical we are working in. Responsibilities Develops coordinated, enterprise-wide corporate communications strategy. (Supports) Development of marketing communications for all Barentz divisions. Oversees Barentz Brand portfolio, supports branding activities of endorsed brands, and leads rebranding activities. Sets measurable objectives for the communications function. Oversees communications measurement, including the design and operation of relevant dashboards and reports. Keeps abreast & critically interprets market, industry, and socioeconomic trends that may influence our external communications strategic direction in order to deliver the business strategy. Supports internal communications/internal marketing/ change management through strategy and resource allocation. Execute the internal communications strategy to inform and engage Barentz associates across the Globe. Work closely with leaders to advise on internal communications approach and craft messages for a range of internal initiatives. Define internal communications best practices to help us better reach and engage our associates. Proactively introduce next-generation tools and two-way communications models that extend the impact and effectiveness of our overall communications. Oversees the selection of agencies and manages these critical relationships. Leads corporate media/public relations and analyst/ influencer relations efforts, and acts as a centralized resource for product (verticals) or regional functions. Curates, architects, and promulgates centralized corporate content. Implements protocols and best practices in anticipation of crisis management. Implements key communications policies, protocols, and guidelines. Works with social operations to develop corporate social media strategy and governance. Manages and adheres to budget. Leads develops, and manages a team of individuals with diverse backgrounds. Hires & retains outstanding talent that can work in high-performing teams and deliver advantaged results for the business. Responsible for providing MarCom associates timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback; developing associates to their fullest potential and providing opportunities that enhance employee career growth; recognizing and rewarding associates for accomplishments. About You Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in education 10 or more years of corporate marketing communications or related experience Hands-on corporate public relations experience, ideally within the same or similar industry Implementation and management of global brand guidelines Compelling verbal and written communication skills. Proven success influencing at the highest levels and driving change in a matrix organization. Proven successful track record in managing onsite and offsite (remote) teams collaborating on complex projects Management of communications to multiple complex stakeholder groups at a local, regional, and global scale Selection and oversight of communications agencies Management of budget and resource allocation to support success and efficiency Previous demonstrated linkage of communications efforts to an organization’s broader campaign plan Team player with cross-functional project leadership skills A highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements Skills/profile: Leadership and change management People management, including the ability to build a new team and work with diverse skill sets (from technical to strategic resources) Listening, probing, and interpreting needs Project management Strong written/oral communications Messaging and positioning Budget management Strategic, objective-driven planning and reporting Trusted advisor to senior executives Key interdependencies: Executive leadership Human resources Investor relations through CEO and CFO Field marketing Why Barentz?
