Financial Accountant – Everest

As the Senior Management Accountant, you’ll lead important responsibilities centred around optimizing financial operations and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your primary focus will encompass overseeing the annual financial close process, meticulously preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, and fulfilling critical compliance obligations. Beyond these core activities, you’ll actively engage in diverse accounting projects, driving ongoing enhancements to our statutory compliance procedures. Leadership will be inherent to your role as you collaborate within the team, inspiring excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and support the closing process and group reporting;

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance accounting and reporting processes continuously;

Streamline billing processes with business partners for improved efficiency;

Manage cash flows and finance interactions with suppliers, partners, banks, authorities, tax consultants, and auditors;

Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable functions for financial integrity;

Optimize internal controls and accounting processes to mitigate risks;

Involvement in budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Prepare ad-hoc analyses and dashboards for decision-making support;

Support external stakeholders with reports in Workday.

Education and Personal Skills

Hold a relevant master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a highly analytical field;

Possess over 4 years of hands-on experience in finance or accounting roles, reflecting an innovative and proactive approach;

Showcase organizational abilities for effectively managing complex tasks and projects;

Knowledge and proficiency in minimum one ERP system;

Advanced Excel skills and data analysis techniques, for informed decision-making and financial insights;

Demonstrate proficiency in technical accounting principles and adeptness in creating reports;

Knowledge of taxation and legal regulations adds value, ensuring compliance and financial planning;

Fluent in both English and Dutch, with German language skills considered an advantage.
