The Senior Internal Auditor forms part of the business risk and audit function (BR&AF) who provide assurance and recommendations to the Executive Board and the Audit Committee on Randstad Group’s (risk) management, control and governance practices. Therefore the department facilitates in setting governance standards. It provides advice on internal control improvements, it conducts audits, special investigations and assignments worldwide on request of the Executive Board and Audit Committee.

The global function consists of team members operating through hubs spread over 4 continents.

As the Senior Internal Auditor with ESG expertise at Randstad Global you help lead the - Business Risk & Audit - Shared Services and Functions focus team and together with other team members to:

support acceleration of Randstad's ESG journey, anticipate trends and act as a data driven advisor to improve (local) business controls, shared services and internationally split processes and (ESG) performance indicator reporting

stay alerted on relevant environment, social, governance and regulatory changes (especially european legislation), closely monitor any updates in regulations and advise business & process owners on impact

on ESG topics, together with colleagues actively manage relevant senior stakeholders throughout Randstad across all territories providing management combined assurance, utilising insights to strengthen the risk-control position related to our domain

liaise within the Business Risk & Audit function (BR & AF), in particular for non financial reporting, or ESG reporting

initiate and facilitate new controls design and implementation relevant for ESG matters

plan, execute and report on risk assessments and audits that give insight in the risk and controls situation around ESG and ESG reporting, both on corporate level and in our operations worldwide.

coordinate, execute and report on the outcomes of risk management, internal control and internal audit

provide coaching & development for your team members with respect to ESG

take ownership for the planning, execution and reporting of the risk, internal control and internal audit activities in your domain to make impact

analyse ESG business context and evaluate the set risk appetite to further strengthen Randstad's strategy and objective setting

what you will bring

Your ESG understanding combined with risk & audit skills are well developed, as a critical challenger to management you strike the right tone. You have a keen interest in the social aspects of Randstad's business and a sharp eye for improvements in our operational processes, so they better serve internal customers and contribute to our ESG goals. You have a broad interest in bringing ESG goals to live in operational processes and improvements in the overall governance.

have postgraduate (RA/RO/CPA/CIA or comparable accreditation)

have proven expertise relevant ESG reporting/controlling both theoretically as well in practice

have level C1 English (preferably combined with proficiency in one of the following languages: Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian and /or German)

are experienced in international stakeholder management & change

have a passion for on the job coaching and development

enthusiasm to support the development of an audit universe and audit approaches on ESG risks and opportunities

ability to report and communicate audit findings at the right tone to make impact and provide recommendations for improvements
