To support our growth towards this ambition, we’re looking for a VP of Engineering.
Your new role
Within New10, our Tech Platform is our biggest asset in digitalizing and automating the customer-journeys of Entrepreneurs. We have a modern technology stack of microservices on a Serverless architecture on AWS, combined with Salesforce as our CRM.
Currently the Technology Department of New10 consists of around 50 FTE, managed by Engineering Managers in 6 teams. With the current size and the planned growth, the CTO is looking for a VP of Engineering to oversee the development and implementation of the technical strategy and managing Engineering Managers and their teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. You will be directly reporting to the CTO.

can help us scale our business! We have big ambitions for the upcoming years. We are growing under our own label, are leveraging more on existing capabilities of our shareholder ABN AMRO Bank and investigating new propositions through partnerships and Embedded Finance opportunities.
Your role will be crucial for making sure we can deliver on our ambitions. As an experienced VP of Engineering you will manage a diverse development team and help them executing on our product and technology plans while we are expanding in both headcount and accountability.
We are looking for a seasoned technology manager that can:
Deliver on the company’s technology and product strategy
Work with product, business, sales, and operations teams to bring features and products to market
Ensure the timely delivery of the engineering teams
Develop standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent
Create and implement structures around people and build an empowering engineering culture
Create and manage budgets for the software engineering department
Manage the performance and development of the team of Engineering Managers (6)
Requirements & Pre’s
Are you our ideal candidate and interested to take this role and join the team? Then you should have:
At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar education
A proven record of managing high-performing development teams
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent technical knowledge and experience in continuously improving SDLCs with the help of data and KPIs
Experience managing large budgets
Experience building and maintaining external and internal stakeholder relationships and assuring best case practices for cross-team collaboration
Deep knowledge of industry trends and best practices
Experience in FinTech and/or business lending is a pre
