The role Main objectives and focus: Manage the Dutch payroll from end-to-end.

Assist the Payroll Associate Director as well as guide and support colleagues with any questions/items related to payroll processing.

Resolve payroll issues and questions, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.

Responsibilities Payroll: Manage and support with the end-to-end payroll process for the Dutch entity of approx. 800 employees.

Align with HROps and the payroll service provider on monthly and annual processes.

Perform key monthly payroll reviews and prepare it for approval, ensuring high levels of accuracy and consistency.

Ensure the calculation of tax and premiums is accurate and statutory legislation is maintained.

Manage the shared inbox and advise employees and stakeholders on payroll related queries.

Ensure period-to-period reconciliations are performed and reviewed as required.

Where integration between our HR system Workday and the payroll provider exist, oversee and review the integration.

Review payroll transactions and identify changes against master data from HR, including new hires, leave of absences, terminations, employee changes and wage garnishments, auditing payroll data and reports for errors and resolving payroll issues.

Review, analyze and improve the current payroll processes to ensure a smooth run-on monthly basis and compliance to SOX controls.

Prepare the monthly payroll journals.

Account and process the RSUs warrants and process accordingly in the payroll.

Prepare payroll related accruals e.g. vacation, bonuses, etc...

Ensure payroll compliance with company policy as well as local tax legislation.

Process & Compliance: Partner with the Payroll Associate Director to design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes.

Ensure compliance of all local payroll regulations and changes of relevant legislation.

Manage and document all process controls within the function to ensure compliance and segregation of duties.

Align with the Risk and Internal Audit team on processes and controls (SOX compliance).

Other responsibilities: Support and provide cover for other team members during absences to ensure smooth and consistent running of the payroll function.

Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and ad hoc projects as required.

Support ongoing compliance for Accounting Ops and HROps.

Proactively keeping up to date with all relevant legislative changes in tax, pensions and taxable benefits.

Requirements Payroll Professional (bachelor's degree) with the ability to resolve complex payroll issues effectively. Completed PDL and VPS are a preference.

5+ years working experience with Dutch payroll regulations and tax legislation.

In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and compliance requirements in the Netherlands.

Proficient with systems, i.e., MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and payroll software.

Very strong technical attitude and desire to enhance knowledge

Demonstrated ability to work effectively and successfully in a fast-paced and global service-oriented environment.

Strong knowledge of Payroll and Benefits standard methodologies and familiarity with transactional based payroll and automated processes.

Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English language skills

Experience in equity accounting and reporting (Restricted Stock Units and Warrants) is a preference.

Work experience of Workday and SAP payroll and reports is a preference.

Experience working with colleagues from different cultures across international offices.
