WittKieffer has been retained by Baystate Health, a premier, integrated, academic health system in western Massachusetts, to assist in the search of their next Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer (SVP). Anchored by Baystate Medical Center, a 730-bed academic facility, the system is composed of five hospitals, four community health centers, Baystate Medical Practices (the employed academic medical group), more than 90 ambulatory centers, and Health New England (health plan). Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the SVP will oversee the development and execution of new business ventures, partner affiliations, market expansions, and strategies to address population health management as well as key service lines. The SVP will provide direct leadership and overall responsibility for Marketing & Communications, Philanthropy, and Government & Community Relations. The ideal candidate will bring experience working in a matrixed environment and developing and overseeing the implementation of a health system’s strategic plans, working in operations, and familiarity with managing global risk and population health.
