About this job You will work asaHospitality Service Instructor at the Academy for Hotel & Facility Management (AHF) of Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). Through our in-house trainingcompanySibelicious, we provide learning experiences to educate the next generation of professionals in hospitality.Sibeliciousis a company where guests can enjoy tasteful food at a reasonable price whilestudentspractisetheirhospitality skills.The restaurant is accommodated in a historic building on the campus ofBUas. Students get trainingin several outlets such asthevisitor centre,food courts, kitchen,and restaurant.With your high-level experience in the hospitality industry, youare able todraw on your experience and contribute to their education. Every week you will meet a new group of students who you will be instructing,coachingandmonitoringin service techniques, correct presentation, hospitable behaviour and the working of equipment and cash registers bygiving feedback to students at all times.You willbe responsible forthe daily operations withinallofthe outlets. This means assigning,initiatingand coordinatingduties and activitiesof students and student managers and correct them if necessary.At the end of the shift, you will ensure a proper closure anddaily revenue reporting, oversee stocking of supplies, beverages,and general products and the availability oflearning materials. You will control all functionalities, coordinate the daily student instruction sessions and the overall cleanliness oftheoutlets.When necessary, you willassistyour colleagues and take over operational tasks when there are no students available.You are also actively involved in student evaluations.Youwillwork in a team of nine instructors andwillhavedepartment-related meetings. All daily communication atSibeliciousis in English.

What do we offer?

The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of €3,091.78and a maximum of€4,085.57(gross amounts based on full-time employment); This position is valued at level 8 of the CAO-HBO (collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be that ofinstructor; This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employmentcontract; Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by publictransport; You will receive compensation for healthinsurance; You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and an 8% holiday allowance inMay; You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost eleven weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-timeposition; You will be working on a green, sustainablecampus near the city centre of Breda. The in-housetrainingcompanySibeliciousislocatedina historic building fitted with a new kitchen and state-of-the art equipment; You get the chance to work with enthusiastic adolescentswho are eager to learn about the hospitalityindustry, andenjoy learning on the job. What do we ask of you?

You areevery incha host/hostessand youare able toconveythis passion tostudents; You are enthusiastic and empathetic; You have general knowledge and skills of the restaurant,hoteland catering industry. Experience in a professional kitchen ispreferred; You havegoodcommunication, interpersonal and organisational skills, enabling you to instruct students and provide motivational coaching and constructive feedback; Youdo not mind working in other outlets when necessary, and are able to work during the dayandevenings(2.00 p.m.–10.00 p.m.); You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, having excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch is a necessity. You are familiar withEnglish professional terminology in the field of hospitality in general and food & beverage inparticular; Preference will be given to candidates who have international work experience and affinity with working in an internationalorintercultural setting.
