You and your job Working in the fast paced world of Leveraged Lending; enabling financial sponsors (private equity) to invest in growth opportunities within the European Food and Energy transition as well as a broad range of sectors in the Netherlands where you will be able to make an impact across Rabobank's strategic pillars together with clients. Starting with generating ideas for our customers, you execute each subsequent phase of a transaction. Based upon a sound understanding of the company (usually clients or long term prospects), you optimize the structure for the transaction, identify cross-sell opportunities, include a sustainable linked loan where possible and negotiate the documentation. At all times you make a careful consideration between result and risk (a.o. Credit/ESG/legal), with a focus on an acceptable and sustainable deal structure for both the client as well as Rabobank. Responsibilities You will pitch for new transactions, negotiate terms and conditions and compose well-founded credit applications. With increasing complexity of a transaction and depending on your experience, you will receive more coaching from colleagues, depending on your need; You are responsible for managing a number of client relationships, further building the relationship and share cross-sell opportunities/ideas as well constantly assessing and overseeing the risk involved with such clients; You will assess new/existing clients on their sustainability performance and engage with them potential sustainable solutions according to the Sustainability Linked Loans framework. You will execute (substantial parts of) transactions based on thorough analyses of (prospective) clients (including financial, commercial, sustainability, structure, legal and other risks); Managing stake holders is an important part of the job. As an Investment Manager you act in a political sensitive field between the interests of clients, commercial interest, market- and credit risk factors, ESG themes, legislation and regulatory frameworks. You are aware of all these factors but are able to bring them together; You are a strong team builder, align and steer the deal team and be a great coach for them. You will oversee and guide junior staff in new transactions, (annual) reviews, handling waiver requests and other issues related to the portfolio; You will create ideas that make a difference for our clients. Rabobank Leveraged Lending is a leading arranger across the entire spectrum of the European leveraged finance market, following Rabobank's Banking for the Netherlands, Banking for Food and Banking for Energy strategy. We often act as lead arranger on transactions, sustainability coordinator and occasionally participate in transactions led by other banks. In addition, it's important that you recognize yourself in the checklist below: Master degree or equivalent; At least 4-6 years of relevant working experience; Interest and/or experience in (Leveraged) Lending and/or Private Equity; Commercial experience, preferably in a lending environment; Risk awareness; Strong ambition and can do mentality; Good at process and stakeholder management; Proficient interpersonal and communication skills; Fluent in written and spoken English.
