For our team Alternative Investment Administration we are looking for a Process Manager | Asset Owner Partner Funds APG Asset Management is looking for an financial services process manager, responsible for the delivery of a consistent, high-quality service towards APG’s Asset Owner Partners (AOP) – some of the largest and most sophisticated global institutional investors that co-invest alongside APG in private markets. This role will be embedded within the APG Asset Management – Operations (COO) – Alternative Investments Administration

To support growth of the AOP platform, APG is seeking an AOP Funds Process manager who wants to and can/is able to further develop their understanding of private markets and fund services and be at the heart of Asset Management business. In this role, you will be exposed to APG’s investments across the private markets platform and work closely with professionals across the global Portfolio Management teams, Alternative Investments Operations team, AOP Relationship Management and various stakeholders supporting Asset Management. The role will reside in Amsterdam as well as Heerlen offices and partial work from home is possible. What you would do The main, not exhaustive, responsibilities are: Implement contractual obligations including operational service levels agreements of APG AOP Funds to ensure flawless and timely delivery of services. Actively monitor, steer and improve internal processes related to the operating model of the AOP funds to achieve the highest quality standards; Develop/implement and maintain tools and dashboards to ensure timely delivery of the services; Work with internal and external partners and lead projects throughout the whole fund- and client life-cycle, such as fund launches, onboarding of partners, and resolution of complex service issues; Together with AOP Relationship Management, serve as the first point of contact for Asset Owner Partners and ensure that all ad-hoc queries and information request are understood and exhaustively addressed in a timely manner; Chairing APG’s internal co-investment workgroup meetings, in which you will give comprehensive and clear/meaningful insights into the status/developments of each partnerships and its service delivery components and set the course for further actions as a result; You are the linking pin bringing it all together from a content perspective; Actively participate in – and monitor – that all internal controls for this AOP platform are executed and documented in time in line with our quality standards.

The role offered asks for assuming responsibility and accountability in a complex and demanding professional work environment. These should be natural personal characteristics of the preferred candidate. What you bring We are seeking a driven, energetic professional who combines (financial) experience in asset management sector with well-developed interpersonal skills, including: Professional and intellectual level obtained through higher professional education (masters degree in a financial field which can be accountancy, accounting & control, (business) economics or similar). 5-10 years of work experience within financial services sector, including demonstratable progressive results and accomplishments. Previous experience with fund services / asset management is preferable. Our ideal candidate will have had a tenure at one of the big 4 audit firms as part of the overall experience requested. Experience with overseeing complex project/process structures including multi-stakeholder management. Attention to detail but also have the ability to see the bigger picture and manage competing priorities. Ability to develop long-term relationships with asset owners, service providers, and other key stakeholders across the organization. Strong communication and presentation skills. Fluent in English. Proficiency in MS tools is required. Comfortable with various tools and technologies in order to build and maintain dashboards. Ability to continually learn and develop the digital skill-set.
