Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is seeking a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next Vice President Human Resources (VPHR). The VPHR will lead HR for both the flagship hospital of Wellstar Health System, Kennestone Regional Medical Center (633 beds), and also Windy Hill Hospital (115 beds). The VPHR will be the lead HR partner, collaborating with the hospital senior leadership team to exceed all operational priorities. This is a terrific opportunity for a passionate HR professional who enjoys building trusting and consultative relationships with colleagues. The VPHR is a highly visible role, spending significant time rounding and connecting with caregivers in patient care settings. This is an ideal opportunity for an HR leader who is energized by deep engagement with others and who can practically apply HR principles to situations. Wellstar Health System is highly collaborative and the expectation of the VPHR in this instance will be to connect and partner deeply at both the facility and corporate level as well. Wellstar’s HR structure is anchored by a shared service, center of expertise (COE) model, whereby the VPHR will engage with COE leaders in service to the business. Key responsibilities of the role include employee relations, employee engagement, collaborating on development of the HR strategic plan specific to the facilities, execution of the strategic plan, workforce planning and management, building talent capabilities and succession planning, and driving employer-of-choice strategy. and ensuring clinical input into strategic planning.
