Financial Business Analyst

We are currently looking for a Financial Business Analyst for the FP&A team in our Global Head Office in Hoofddorp.

As a Financial Business Analyst, your primary responsibilities include analyzing business performance metrics such as profit, costs, cash flow and working capital and generating reports on a daily basis. You will assist in business planning, including rolling forecasts and strategic sessions held four times a year, as well as support month-end closing processes. Additionally, you will conduct in-depth profitability analyses across various dimensions and provide top management with strategic advice and updates on key performance indicators. Fostering and leading cross-functional collaboration is also a key aspect of this role.

The key activities of this position in detailare:

1. Month

End Reporting

Participate in drafting the monthly

management reports to the shareholder and analyzing the financial results of the

Business Units. Recurring tasks:

Data &

business story collection, processing and reporting Data quality

check and reporting on Variance

reporting on costs and gross profit

Drive and perform business analyses to gain actionable insights

(e.g. Capex, cash flow, Opex, margins etc)

Take

initiative and drive continuous improvement activities related to

reporting processes and systems (SAP BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud) Contribute to continuous improvement, bringing

our set of reports and analysis tools to the next level to provide insights

2. Forecasting

Participate in the business planning (rolling

forecast 4x per year, strategy) and review processes, providing

analytical and strategic support to internal stakeholders throughout the

organization

Improving reporting/analytics of forecast data to achieve “leading”

(opposed to “lagging”) analysis, and upfront challenging of the BUs in

their data submissions (including phasing/seasonality checks, YTG,

non-financial KPIs, CF, Opex)

Responsible for collection, reviewing and consolidation of the

Risks & Opportunities for the rolling forecasts

3. Business analysis and cross functional

collaboration

Develop and provide ad hoc analyses on P&L,

Balance Sheet and Cash Flow that add value to the business and therein

supporting the team, CFO and COOs Sparring partner of the Finance Business

Partners; (Pro)actively collaborate with other HO

functions to align on strategy execution, cross-functional projects, and

knowledge sharing. This can range from the digital, commercial and innovation

teams to sustainable fuels, renewables and operational excellence teams Drive knowledge sharing across BUs from

(BU)insights gained

Support financial

deep-dives into a specific Business Unit (or function)

4. Projects

Participating in, and managing diverse

projects, in which not just financial expertise, but also business and

creative ideas are expected. Examples of current

& past projects:

Productivity

Improvement: finance support to the PMO and monitoring of key strategic initiatives that will deliver the finance figures

of tomorrow. Capex Allocation: analysing Capex needs across the organization

and allocating available funds true an allocation model taking into account

obligatory spends and returns on investment Customer inactivity: with a cross-functional team work on

analysing customer inactivity and proposing ways forward Business Digital Strategy: support the Digital team in evaluating

opportunities in the Business Units on where the HO team can help improve

processes by digitalizing them Supporting external consultants on strategic projects

5. SAP Analytics Cloud

Develop new

management reports that give management new and useful insights in the

business, examples could be: Inactive customer report, Capex report,

BioLPG volume trends

Leverage data analytics and

visualization tools to deliver actionable insights on operational trends

and financial result regularly

What we are looking for:

4+ years of overall combined business/financial analysis experience in an international environment for a large company or a big 4 audit fit Master’s degree in Business Economics, Business Administration, Finance or comparable Strong proven analytical skills with a sense for Business and Controlling in which you are capable to think out of the box. Thorough knowledge of working with (financial) data models and IT systems (such as SAP BPCP Excellence in

MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) Experience

with analytical tools (e.g, Power query, Power BI, SAC, etc) Good written and oral communications skills in English You should already live an work in the Netherlands
