This unique hybrid role within Avantium is perfect for a driven, proactive organizer & analyst looking to kick-start their multi-disciplinary career within a rapidly growing scale-up. Consisting of 50% data analysis and 50% business analysis Avantium are offering the perfect opportunity to rapidly gain valuable experience in both fields and the ability to aid in defining these functions within the organization.

This position reports directly to and will be mentored by the Group IT Director, maintaining an ongoing relationship with the IT department and strategy whilst also being engaged and deployed across all business units and departments based on mutual business & IT requirements.

A Senior Data Analyst will be available part-time to provide guidance, advice & assistance.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection : Gather data from multiple sources, including primary, secondary, internal, and external sources & systems. Data Analysis : Utilize Excel, SQL & Microsoft Fabric / Power BI to analyze and interpret collected data. Data Manipulation : Manage and merge multiple data sources, normalizing and transforming data where necessary to produce interpretable results. Reporting & Dashboards : Build business-friendly BI dashboards and reports based on agreed KPIs and requirements. System Validation :Gather and validate system information by evaluating and verifying system capabilities and acting as a bridge between business and software vendors. Business Process Analysis : Cataloguing business processes, identifying problems, and proposing solutions to enhance the organization's processes. Functional Requirements Development:

Create, design and review specifications for systems to understand & improve system quality, performance, external interfaces, and constraints. System Integration:

Mapping out inter-system integrations & data flows and assessing these against business processes & functional requirements. Qualifications:

Education : A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics, information systems. Skills : Proficiency in: SQL Excel Python MS Office Power BI (not mandatory) Azure Data Factory (not mandatory) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Meticulous approach and attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Desired Experience:

Providing production support for business reports. Building and modifying reporting solutions based on business requirements. Performing acceptance testing of systems & reporting solutions. Automating and improving manual reporting solutions, including implementing validation procedures. Communicating progress and escalating issues as needed. Familiarity with techniques for investigating, analysing, modelling, and documenting business areas or systems. Basic project management including the facilitation of effective communication between stakeholders. Training & growth opportunities:
