Global Accounting Manager

to join their team in Almere. In this role, you will have a primary responsibility and accountability for accounting aspects and assist the head office with regional issues in the periodical closing and reporting process. The

Global Accounting Manager

will support in the preparation of accurate and timely periodical financial reporting, and be in the driver’s seat for the statutory compliance of their European entities. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member, work cross functionally, communicate effectively, and have a pro-active approach with an analytical mind. Responsibilities: Build extensive accounting and consolidation reporting knowledge of the entities in the European region Assist the internal tax team with regard to VAT, CIT and Transfer Pricing matters Provide subject matter expertise in the region relating to accounting issues and IFRS guidance like revenue recognition, leasing, financial instruments and business combinations Coordinate with auditors on their audit approach and requested documentation Assist with the development of policies (from an accounting perspective) as needed by the business to support growth, business change Experience required: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in an international audit role University degree in accounting/economics and qualified accountant Higher education - preferably economics, finance or related Strong understanding of accounting and IFRS Strong project management and presentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Willing to travel (mainly in Europe) Fluent English EMEA Recruitment is committed to promoting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.
