Organization Background Integrity Initiatives International Europe (III Europe)

is an international NGO with the mission to end grand corruption by strengthening the enforcement of criminal laws against corrupt leaders and their co-conspirators. The primary activities of

III Europe

include developing a draft treaty to establish an International Anti-Corruption Court (IACC), advocating for enforcement of anti-corruption laws, and collaborating with policy makers, organizations and relevant stakeholders. III Europe

was recently incorporated and is inspired by the extensive work done by

Integrity Initiatives International , established in the U.S. in 2016. A deeply mission-driven organization, III (“Triple I”) works to combat grand corruption by supporting national, regional, and international anti-corruption solutions, including catalyzing and coordinating a campaign to establish the International Anti-Corruption Court (IACC). Core funding for the first years has been secured, the strategic objectives have been set, and

is now looking for the right person to bring the organization to life in the crucial role of Managing Director. The Role This is a general management position for a candidate with varied experience, keen to apply it to this exciting opportunity to build an organization on both the programmatic and administrative side. We are seeking a capable leader who can structure the activities, resource them appropriately, and collaborate effectively with the wider team around the globe. The Managing Director will lead

III Europe’s

work to create the IACC and fulfill other objectives within the organization’s statutory mandate, including managing relationships with partner governments, building and maintaining relationships with civil society partners, and supporting the IACC model treaty drafting project. The Director will be responsible for developing

III Europe

into an effective and sustainable organization. Competencies and Skills: We are looking for a candidate with a strong combination of the following competencies and skills: -

Results orientation:

We are looking for a self-starter who knows how to take initiative and has developed management capacities. This includes the setting of targets, milestones, and monitoring results in accordance with contract deliverables and organizational objectives set by the Board of Directors -

Financial acumen:

The Director will be responsible for the preparation and management of the annual operating and program-related budgets; implementation of financial management and reporting systems and ensuring (with the support of an external accountant) that all invoices, expense reports and other required financial documentation are maintained -

Experience with fundraising:

The Director will be responsible for managing grants, reporting to donors as well as developing relationships with new donors for future grants. He/she will engage in fundraising efforts, e.g., writing grants proposals, responding to RFPs, renewals, and coordinating additional staff or expertise to support the process as needed -

Knowledge of international law/accountability : The candidate should have a broad understanding of international law, politics, international relations or a related field, with anti-corruption expertise desirable. The Director will support

research agenda concerning corruption and international law -

Leadership skills:

The candidate has demonstrated leadership ability and has experience in managing direct reports, interns and volunteers. He/she will lead hiring processes and talent development -

Stakeholder management and relationship skills:

The candidate will coordinate the complex, overlapping groups of board members, relevant committees, civil society partners, governments, and individual external partners involved in the campaign for an IACC. He/she will also develop and maintain

relationships with its external partners. -

Communication skills:

The Director will coordinate public messaging for

III Europe

programs and oversee communication materials. Therefore, an excellent command of written and spoken English is essential and other languages, with Dutch as a preference, are a plus. -

Collaboration:

The Director will work under the direction of and collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and update strategic plans for

III Europe

programs, and share information or collaborate with

III

in the U.S. and a range of stakeholders and partners on implementation. -

This is a full-time position (40-hours) with occasional travel. Evening/early morning and weekend work may be required from time to time to communicate with partners around the world.
