Operations Lead Welcome in our team The production facilities in Boxmeer and De Bilt are part of our global animal health production network and manufacture and package animal health products according to Good Manufacturing Practices standards (GMP). Our production organization consists of several Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) and Centers of Excellence (CoEs). The activities of the IPT Live (140 FTE) covers the manufacture of live vaccines. Within the department, our SFFD (sterile filling and freeze drying) department is a new state of the art facility with a vital role in the supply of Live vaccines primarily for small household pets. In SFFD, we operate two production lines: the Bulk line and the Specialty Line. The Bulk line is equipped with three fully automated freeze dryers to ensure a consistent commercial production pace. Both lines run 7 days a week, with 2 shifts per day, supported by three shift teams covering all shifts. About the role We seek a Manufacturing Operations Lead with strategic responsibility for Bulk production, reporting to the SFFD Lead and working during dayshift (9-17). Leading three shift teams covering all shifts on the Bulk line and supporting Spec line operations, you oversee a team of (now) 60 FTEs. Initially focusing on operational sponsorship for a second Bulk line installation, your role will expand to include managing new shift teams. As the right hand of the SFFD Lead, and as part of the SFFD Management Team, you play a crucial role in budgeting, audits, investments, and long-term strategy, aligning with our strategic pillars. Your responsibilities include ensuring operational performance, standardization across shifts, future hiring and training plans, financial forecasting, maintaining GMP standards, capacity planning, guiding strategic projects, managing GMP audits, fostering collaboration, leading change management, and ensuring a safe work environment. Your profile Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., Life Sciences, Business Administration). Strong experience in leading and developing teams in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Familiar with Lean Six Sigma, strong project and change management skills and the ability to build strong relationships throughout the organization. Excellent command of the English and Dutch language, oral and written. Living at a reasonable distance of Boxmeer.
