Rotterdam, Netherlands (approximately 2 days per week in office, remaining days at client premises or home office) Salary:

Competitive with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of €170,000 per annum, including a 15% bonus and company car. Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Market Specialist with expertise in portfolio management and trading within the power and gas market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electricity, wind power trading, and power purchasing. This role involves identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with a diverse team to optimize business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement:

Identify and contact power/renewable energy users, primarily in the Netherlands and Germany. Assess how they can leverage our advanced trading and forecasting infrastructure. Contract Structuring:

Work closely with the analytical team and portfolio manager to structure terms and conditions of contracts. Negotiation and Execution:

Negotiate and finalize tailored contracts to meet volume and margin targets within a lean organizational framework. Market Analysis:

Research and identify market opportunities and threats in a rapidly changing environment. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with a diverse team, including top management, traders, and EV business developers, to share insights and develop new business opportunities and products. Prioritization:

Proactively manage competing business demands to maximize efficiency and return on investment. Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of experience in the European power sector. Ability to manage complex variables such as grid tariffs, flexibility, commodity prices, and the value of green certificates to make sound business proposals. Basic experience with origination and structured deals. Strong commercial acumen with an analytical mindset. Fluency in English and proficiency in Dutch and/or German. Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Mathematical Business, Economics, or a related field. Background in utility, large industrial, energy-intensive sectors, or consultancy.
