Senior Quality Engineer

As Quality engineer you can contribute to ensuring process and product quality for NKT’s Business Lines

As Senior Quality Engineer you will secure, optimize and improve our processes and product quality standards. In this position you will work closely with the responsible stakeholders from our various Business Lines and will give optimized support to define and lead improvement projects. You will also identify and perform root-cause analyses projects, implement improvements and monitor ongoing performance (KPI’s) to secure high-quality output. Knowing how to improve department processes based on internal NCR's in order to guarantee continual improvement is also part of your position. This you will do by supplying hands-on support, being present on the shop-floor, serving as point of contact and providing expert advice and best-practice sharing between the Business Lines. Your main tasks will be to: Supply hands-on execution of process and quality improvement initiatives with Business Line stakeholders throughout the entire business value chain Facilitate, drive and initiate activities to uniform and optimize processes and give support, guidance and best-practice to local stakeholders Implement and maintain a governance with main stakeholders and initiate, moderate and coordinate steering committees and quality councils Train and develop local teams to improve and secure a positive quality culture Support and anchor the implementation of Group initiated processes Conducting Business Lines compliance and process audits You will join an international and collaborating team. Being present at our sites, collaborating with our local teams and creating long-lasting internal and external relationships is a key in this role. Frequent international travelling is to be expected. Because of this the position can either be done from our office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands or our office in Cologne, Germany. Who are you?

It goes without saying that you are an experienced quality professional. Because of the many different people you will meet and work with, you are a team-player and have great communication skills, are motivated and you have a positive attitude no matter where you are. You are able to work freely throughout Europe, Having a high level of integrity and professionalism, stakeholder management skills, a collaborative approach and the ability of setting priorities is also key for this position. The ability to make sense of problems and define follow-up steps that lead to effective solutions and strong analytical skills are what we expect from you. You also have: BSc. in Engineering or equivalent education 6 Years+ of experience within Quality or Process Engineering in a manufacturing industry Certifications in Six Sigma and ISO9001 (internal) auditor Experience in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Experience in SPC-Minitab, statistical in general and project management is a plus Experience providing Root Cause Analyses and using tools as Ishikawa, 5-Why, 8D or equivalent Fluency in English Dutch and or German proficiency is a plus Ready to make a real difference?
