Role Description:

Purpose The Senior Static Engineer position is created to provide engineering support to the project’s production units, as part of a diverse team delivering technical support relating to performance, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment. The team interacts with field operations, maintenance, and projects. Engineers involved in asset support will be co-located in agile facility support squad whom in turn focus their output to create top quartile performance within the pressure equipment integrity workspace. Accountabilities of the Senior Static Engineer is a key contributor and member of the team that provides the following services to the respective Production Units and Projects:

Technical mechanical static engineering expertise & support to operating assets. (Maintenance orientated engineering support) Technical support to develop repair methods and support on design and integrity elements to day-to-day operations. (ASME PCC and API 579) Able to deliver fitness for service assessments of various degraded pressure equipment and advice on repair options as well as on related temporary deviations of the original design intension. Deliver the design of minor field modification in collaboration with other disciplines such as Materials/Corrosion, Inspection, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical, Rotating equipment, and Process. Requirements:

MSc or BSc (or equivalent) mechanical engineering degree Material and relevant experience in either upstream or downstream mechanical static equipment with the associated degradation mechanisms Demonstratable field engineering support experience showing appreciation of detail design requirements inclusive of the ability to use NDE interpretation to support a fitness for service determination. Strong demonstrable record of achievement. In-depth knowledge of brownfield mechanical engineering and maintenance inclusive of a good track record of being able to perform fitness for service work in accordance to recognized guidelines. Knowledge in the design of pressure containment equipment, such as: pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, valves, tanks etc. Proven experience and detailed knowledge of both the relevant standards, Dutch Legislation, and industry standards within the mechanical discipline. Knowledge of functionality and use of the maintenance/Integrity management systems such as w-IMS, SAP and FSR.
