The Personal Banking Lending Strategist at ABN AMRO plays a crucial role in orchestrating loan portfolios for Personal Banking clients, which are mostly organised within subsidiaries, to address and act on risk management and regulatory challenges across various domains. As a Personal Banking Lending Strategist within Personal Banking Lending Transformation, you will play a vital role in shaping the required knowledge and capabilities needed for a newly created team to deal with the aforementioned dynamics. In this pioneering stage, you will be responsible for: Acting as the single point of contact for central credit related regulatory programmes. Aiming to support subsidiaries in navigating the demanding and rapidly evolving environment of regulatory requirements within the banking sector. Unravel complexities in converting abstract regulatory requirements into concrete, actionable steps to bridge the gap between high-level policies and on-the-ground execution impacting data, processes, organisation and technology. Central sequencing of various initiatives, which includes considerations based on a.o. business strategy, market developments and local change roadmaps. Providing input to the CCO Personal & Business Banking (Executive Board member) on commitments to and meetings with the Joint Supervisory team (JST), ECB and DNB related to loans for Personal Banking clients. Pioneering in all of the above to shape a future-proof (organisational) design and way-of-working. Aiming to help Personal Banking subsidiaries efficiently navigate the intricate and evolving regulatory landscape, emphasising the importance of consistent high-quality to remain regulatory compliant within a dynamic environment. This involves working with various stakeholders across the bank, including Financing Solutions, Credit Risk Management, Transaction Banking, Legal, Finance, Alfam, ICS and AAHG. Your expertise and knowledge is here to stay, yet the organisational set up can change over time and is part of shaping a future-proof design. Working environment

You will be part of a new team which is being formed right now. At this stage, the team will consist of five senior professionals to take up this challenge. The team is part of Personal Banking Lending Transformation, headed by Charissa Cardon and positioned within the client segment Affluent Clients. Being part of a client segment that is at the heart of our bank’s strategy, ensures the team stays in touch with our business and market developments.

You will work in a challenging and dynamic work environment, where you will be expected to collaborate with various (executive and senior leaders) stakeholders across the bank. You have a strong track record in solving complex issues within ABN AMRO (or another incumbent), and understand lending for Personal Banking clients and credit risk life cycle. You are analytical and can balance between details and holistic approaches. You have strong stakeholder management skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset focused on results and capable of shaping a path to long-term sustainable growth, even/especially in challenging circumstances. You are fluent in English and preferably Dutch, and have structured problem-solving skills, fast learning ability, and willingness to challenge the status quo. You possess leadership attributes that encourage and empower teams to challenge the status quo and experiment, lead change, deal with ambiguity, and act as a role model to ABN AMRO's values of care, courage and collaboration. The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month. Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year. Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
