The focus lies on strategic topics as digitalization, AI/Data analytics, tokenization and sustainability that are currently reshaping the Financial Services landscape and which requires new propositions and transformations. The team is looking for aspiring talent who has a real interest for the Financial Services industry to continue delivering impact to major financial institutions within the Netherlands.

About the function

As a Senior Consultant or Project Manager Strategy Financial Services you advice banking and insurance clients on their most pressing strategic problems. You lead the project team and drive project delivery from approach to recommendations. You set out the key hypotheses and guide the team to perform the right analyses. You work with partners to position you and the team for success by leveraging their experience and expertise while receiving valuable on-the-job coaching. You are the key contact person for the client giving you an important and challenging role. You are developing your future “brand” and network within the firm to make the next step in your career towards Project Manager, Principal and Partner.

In this role, it is important that you are analytically strong and that working under pressure gives you energy. You are a team player and have excellent communication skills. You can present your work clearly and are able to convince others. It is necessary that you have experience with project and team management. Furthermore, you have a background in Financial Services and are familiar with the strategic themes which shape the industry. Currently, you work within the Financial Services industry (for example within a bank, insurance company or asset manager), FinTech scene, in the strategy department of a large financial institution or another strategy consulting firm. Great step for someone who wants to expand their skills and knowledge within the Financial Services.

Main criteria

A minimum of 5 years of experience within the Financial Services Industry and knowledge of the strategic themes that shape the industry

Master degree is required (preferably: economics, econometrics etc)

Strong analytical skills

Demonstrates ability to provide coaching to junior team members and lead a team of consultants on a project

You have excellent written communications skills and can pitch convincingly and present well
