Adding confidence to the client journey. What will be your contribution? At a glance

In Information & Operational Risk Management, or I&ORM for short, we are ready to take the next step: shifting our way of working from an instrumental approach to focusing on the risks that matter. This we will achieve through a combination of data analysis and professional judgement. Making this shift is imperative to prepare I&ORM to operate in a fast-changing environment, both internal and external to our organisation. It demands developing and strengthening our knowledge and skills in the areas of data, analysis and language (crisp and clear writing, with a strong key message and solid call to action. Your work

As a non-financial risk manager, you will thoroughly analyse the risks that matter and provide independent opinions about risk management in the first line. Also, you will be involved in testing and improving the controls for your business domain. Provide periodic oversight and reporting on the relevant risks for the business domains, based on several sources such as the risk dialogues, issues and actions, control testing and registered risk events. To achieve this, you’ll identify trends and offer clear insights in the domain’s risk profile. Your working environment I&ORM consists of a flat organisation, with teams advising client and enabling units, and some specialist teams. Our risk managers advise on the full scope of non-financial risk, so not just information risk or data & processing risk. We are a diverse and inclusive organisation with colleagues of various backgrounds. Our working language is English.

The bank’s core values Care, Courage, and Collaboration dominate the way in which we work. Our employees feel engaged in I&ORM because we care. We encourage and support our colleagues to work on their development and wellbeing. We provide a work environment where they feel safe and supported to take their responsibilities. The result is a Risk Fit organisation with Risk Fit professionals. Courage, to approach matters differently. Focusing more on professionalism of I&ORM Expert, rather than prescribing detailed rules. Courage is sometimes required to entertain difficult conversations with our stakeholders. Courage also improves the execution power of our department, through effective and efficient decision taking and sticking with our decisions.

Collaboration is important to realise our purpose ‘Adding confidence to the client’s journey’. Focusing on our employees’ knowledge and skills, we make an appeal to their entrepreneurship and personal. To succeed in this area they will have to collaborate closely with all lines in 3 Lines of Defence (3LoD) model, including the other I&ORM teams. The co-operation is important because there is nothing black and white in non-financial risk. Only through real collaboration you can add colour to the grey. You will do so in a continuous dialogue with your environment, as equal partners.

We have openings in our teams for enthusiastic colleagues who are eager to learn and to further grow to be non-financial risk experts.
