Your contribution to TenneT

The Next Generation EMS SCADA system will be implemented in close collaboration with the vendor. Implementation will start in 2025 and then evolves with additional functionality. Your tasks Being part of an international project team, you will work in a Agile Dev/Ops team with different colleagues. During the coming transition phase, cooperation with both the vendor and end-users is important. This will support a successful go-live and will also prepare your team to provide adequate application management support during and after the go-live. You first start developing, and then once it's live you ensure it remains operational. As the systems are used 24/7 and are critical for daily electricity supply (e.g. keeping the lights on), an extensive testing phase will be planned, where you have an important role. As a Specialist in Energy Management Systems, you will be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation after a certain period (estimated to be one year). This will, on average, occur once every 8 weeks. Your responsibilities Communication with the vendor on the requirements to be implemented When necessary, you take action to find the right information within TenneT, to implement the EMS/SCADAsystem conform expectations Help preparing change requests and coordinate implementation E

nsuring the quality, by checking functional descriptions with the vendor proposed implementation and design Defining and executing acceptance tests together with the vendor Within your own domain, capturing relevant knowledge of the new Next Gen EMS SCADA solution, both for end-users and other Specialists.

Your profile and background

What we expect from you? Having earned a Bachelor's degree or above, you display a passion for energy technology and a willingness to expand your expertise in the field. It is an advantage if your education is in the direction of Electrical or Energy Engineering or if you have gained knowledge elsewhere about the energy sector, high-voltage grids or automation within a technical environment You are a true team player, possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively transfer knowledge to others. Your English is good both verbally and in writing. You take ownership of the challenges you face and you are able to perform well under time pressure, even in stressful situations. Training for the new systems will be provided at various stages of the project and scheduled to align with relevant project activities.
