Create Alert As the Global Functional Controller you are in an important position as a strategic financial advisor to the Finance, IT, Procurement and Technology & Sustainability functions. You will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning and analysis, cost management, and performance measurement across our global functions. The expertise is instrumental in aligning financial strategies with business objectives, identifying growth opportunities for improvement, and supporting effective decision-making at all levels of the organization. In this role you bridge the gap between the finance department and our Corporate Functions, ensuring seamless collaboration and providing valuable insights that drive sustainable growth and profitability. You analyse financial data, develop key performance indicators, and communicate results in a clear and concise manner to empower our management team to make informed decisions and drive the success of our company in an increasingly competitive global marketplace. As th global Functional Controller you are responsible for cost management on more than 300m$ spending, which represents more than 30% of the organization’s total spending. This role is a hybrid role, our office is based in Geleen. YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide insights into financial performance and trends and offer recommendations for improvement. You will represent TO Finance for all T2W workstreams in the Innovation, IT and Procurement clusters. Act as a financial liaison between the finance department and the respective functions worldwide. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, communicate financial information, and support strategic decision-making. This role is the primary financial contact of CFO, CIO, CPO, and CTSO (SLT / BLT level) Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure functional performance globally. Track actual performance against targets and communicate results to management. You are responsible for overall cost management framework (guidelines, planning, reporting and analysis) Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions across global operations. Participate in investment evaluations, new projects, and business initiatives to ensure financial viability and alignment with business objectives. Monitor and control costs across various business functions globally. Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with stakeholders to implement cost optimization measures. Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, and ad-hoc reports for management (BLT, SLT, All global functional heads) and other stakeholders (Business Clusters) on a global level. Ensure tax compliance of internal charge outs (mainly in IT) and manage the cost pooling concept of centralized services. Monitor budget adherence across global operations and work with business units to ensure spending aligns with the approved budget. Set standards and provide guidance on budget adjustments as needed. Continuously review and improve financial processes and reporting methodologies on a global level to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Set global standards and guidance for the different legal entities and cooperate with legal entity and site controlling. WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field Professional/ Minimum of 10 years of experience in Controlling, Accounting, Financial Management. Experience working with SAP S/4HANA. Strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Strong communications skills in English; German and / or Dutch are a plus. Strategic Thinking, Leadership skills, Teamwork, Problem-Solving, Strong ethics and integrity, Attention to detail, Flexibility, Independent.
