JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES To support manufacturing management site Geleen in achieving these objectives we are looking for an Transport Safety Engineer to reinforce our EHSS SABIC site Geleen department.

The primary task and responsibility of the Transport Safety Engineer is to act as a dangerous goods safety advisor according to the international regulations for ADR, AND and RID within SABIC's various production locations, Geleen site.

Expert advice and active support of management and operational staff towards continuous improvement on transport safety and EHS, and the realization of objectives in this area.

MAIN TASKS • Functioning as Subject Matter Expert on Transport Safety and as dangerous goods safety advisor according with the international regulations for the transport of dangerous good by road, rail and inland waterways (ADR, RID and AND)• Training and coaching of colleagues within the organization in specific transport safety area.• Support, guidance and coaching of operational safety experts within the various production facilities.• Developing, implementing and optimizing transport safety related training.• Actively participate in various consultations such as Site EHSS team meetings• Supporting and, where appropriate, making a substantive contribution to incident investigation.• As owner of the Operational Safety Management System implementing, auditing and optimizing elements, including safeguarding of local laws and regulations.• Represent SABIC as transport safety expert on both external and internal meetings• Facilitate Inspections and audits of (governmental) authorities• Support supply chain management in several topics related with the transport of dangerous goods by rail and inland waterways from and to SABIC Geleen.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Technical HBO (Bachelor equivalent) Degree working and thinking level.• A background of hazardous/dangerous goods transportation regulations• including ADR, ADN and/or RID would be beneficial• Tactical and strategic communication skills and able to act at different levels (internal and external) as a Transport Safety representative of SABIC.• Experience in setting up and providing training.• Provide solicited and unsolicited advice to management on EHS and transport safety aspects• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both written and oral
