Finance Director – Renewable Natural Gas

As part of our strategic ambition, VTTI is growing a portfolio of bio-energy facilities in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Poland, with the ambition to become an international leader in bioenergy. Green gas is made from biogas, which is created when organic side streams are processed through anaerobic digestion. In its facilities, VTTI processes organic side streams such as residues from the food industry and agriculture. By producing organic fertilizer pellets in addition to green gas, our facilities reuse valuable minerals. Farmers use these organic fertilizer pellets to naturally replenish the soil, reducing the application of chemical fertilizers. The bio-energy facilities make an important contribution to the ambitious European sustainability goals. In addition, the installations contribute to lowering methane emissions from animal manure and reducing nitrogen emissions. In this way, they bring together clean energy and circularity.
