Revyve is dedicated to developing high-value texturizing ingredients from yeast, aiming to replace animal-based ingredients like egg-whites and additives such as methylcellulose with sustainable vegan alternatives. Backed by over €15 million in Venture Capital, we’ve recently completed our demo plant and are on the path to Series B funding and achieving cashflow positivity.

What You’ll Do

Working with revyve offers a unique opportunity to have full ownership of all financial matters, from controlling to strategy and fundraising. In addition to dedicating 80% of your time to revyve, you’ll spend one day a week seconded to our neighbors of Scope Biosciences, a biotechnology start-up specializing in molecular diagnostics.

Scope Biosciences is a biotechnology firm specializing in the development of cutting-edge molecular diagnostics using our proprietary scopeDx platform based on Type III CRISPR-Cas technology. With a team of 15 bioengineers, scientists, and renowned CRISPR researchers, we are committed to transforming diagnostics with speed, ease, and unprecedented accuracy.Originating from the prestigious Laboratory of Microbiology at Wageningen University & Research, we recently secured €2.5mio EIC transitions grant, and we are on a rapid growth trajectory. Work for Scope will focus on further fundraising activities and controlling. Your Responsibilities

Financial Management & Controlling:

– Full accountability of revyve’s and Scope’s finances

– Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Commercial teams on budgeting

– Oversee project management, budgeting, and reporting of multiple subsidy initiatives

– Work with external accounting to report financials quarterly and annually

Strategy:

– Develop and continuously update business cases and growth models for revyve and Scope

– Calculate cost models, price matrices, and margin analyses

– Support production and engineering teams in CapEx and OpEx analysis

Fund Raising:

– Collaborate with the CEO on growth and financing strategies

– Explore various funding types: debt, lease, equity, and subsidy

– Manage relationships with debt funds, banks, and subsidy advisors

– Represent the company at climate tech and food tech events

Your Profile

A degree in business, with an MBA or similar preferred

Minimum of 5 years in a business finance role, venture capital/private equity, or investment banking

Proficiency with Excel models and a genuine wizard with numbers

Excellent networking skills and the ability to build relationships with investors, banks, and government agencies

Adaptable and independent, thriving in a continuously evolving environment

Creative problem-solver with a pragmatic approach to business challenges
