TM Coverage & Scenario Expert

As a TM Coverage & Scenario Expert you contribute to Rabobank proactively protecting its customers, society, and itself against (facilitation of) money laundering (ML) and terrorism financing (TF) by developing new and continuously improving Transaction Monitoring (TM) detection rules. You and your job Preventing financial economic crime (FEC) is one of the key aspects for our society and our organization, and as a bank we play a major role in this field. As TM Coverage & Scenario Expert you have a strong understanding of money laundering and terrorism financing risks and typologies. You have an expert role in TM issues and can apply your knowledge of the ML/TF risks associated with specific customer segments, products, and services, to complex TM rule design choices ensuring effective risk detection and coverage. As TM Coverage & Scenario Expert, you are part of the TM Control Standards department within the Transaction Monitoring pillar of the Financial Economic Crime organization. You work with internal stakeholders in a dynamic and innovative landscape. TM Coverage & Scenario Experts work in multidisciplinary squads with highly talented and motivated colleagues using Scrum Agile methodology. Your ability to translate ML/TF risks to TM rule requirements and simplify complex issues plays a pivotal role in the development of TM detection rules. As part of this job, you handle complex TM issues either independently or in collaboration, gather and analyze data to substantiate your insights and advice, engage with internal stakeholders, and collaborate across the FEC organization. Practical examples Work in a squad with other TM Coverage & Scenario Experts and Data Scientists and develop TM rules that trigger alerts when certain patterns or behaviors are detected. You take the lead in applying your knowledge of ML and TF risks in the development process to facilitate decision-making and get internal stakeholders on board of the TM rule design choices. Optimize existing TM rules based on data-driven analyses, emerging risks, regulatory changes, and new typologies. As part of this process, you consider the implications of TM rule design choices on TM risk coverage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FEC Technology, TM Operations, and Compliance, to ensure effective implementation of TM rules. As an expert within Rabobank, it is important that you are a team player who enjoys collaboration, pro-active, flexible, business focused, and not afraid to take ownership in fighting financial economic crime. In addition, it is important that you recognize yourself in the checklist below. Bachelor's or Master's degree; 5+ years relevant experience in the financial industry with knowledge of money laundering and terrorism finance, preferably within Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, or Risk (Compliance); Knowledge of relevant AML/CTF laws and regulations; Knowledge of the banking domain, financial products, and services; Knowledge of transaction monitoring; Ability to apply knowledge of ML/TF risks to TM rule design choices; Excellent verbal and writing skills in English; Social skills are above average, connect easily, and can formulate clearly and to the point; A plus would be if you have: Experience with TM rule development; Experience with TM alert handling; Experience with TM coverage assessments; Experience with Agile / Scrum / DevOps way of working; Affinity and/or experience with data (analyses). This is what we offer you A gross monthly salary between € 4.292,40 and € 7.307,58 per month (scale 9 or 10, depending on your knowledge and experience) Extra budget of 11% of your gross monthly salary that you can spend as you want.
