The role of Financial Administrator

In this role, there is a broad scope of responsibilities with primary focus on internal finance related topics. The finance administrator will work closely with the Finance manager (= direct report) and the finance controller / sr. financial administrator and has to show a wide variety of financial and financial related activities. The finance administrator has good analytical and technical finance skills, is change driven and brings a well-balanced personality with drive, energy and sense of humor. The financial administrator is people oriented and share the belief that the employees of Betty Blocks make the success of the company.

Tasks and responsibilities

Below is a list of (possible) tasks and responsibilities, but not limited to. In consultation with the Finance manager, the tasks can change and optimized over time when needed.

Accounts Payable

Performing and maintaining correct invoice registration/administration

Maintaining up-to-date payable contract management registry in FinancialForce. Maintain (cost) overviews in spreadsheets of specific costs, such as SaaS tooling and other costs. Is gatekeeper to make sure all incoming invoices are administrated and invoiced based on signed contracts and agreements made

Credit card administration and optimalisations

Preparing bank payments and outstanding payable management

General Ledger administration

‘Check and balance' month end totals for specific General ledgers when applicable

Calculation and booking of

reservations

when invoices are delayed

Perform monthly checks on outstanding balance positions/reservations made

Other (when applicable)

Monitoring and ensure the accuracy of other financial accounting processes (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting)

Interaction and maintain relationships with external auditor(s), bank and other stakeholders

Ad-hoc (non)financial reports and analysis

Who are you?

You have obtained an MBO Level 4 Financial Administrator degree (or similar); You have at least 3 years of experience as a Financial Administrator; You are available for 24 hours a week; Fluent in Dutch and English; You are proactive and positive!
