As a member of the Global Compliance Monitoring Team at Rabobank, you are part of the second line of responsibility where you play a pivotal role in contributing to Rabobank’s commitment to compliance, by leading several quarterly compliance monitoring assessments. You and your job In the Global Compliance Monitoring team, we work on signal driven and regular compliance monitoring & testing activities in all Rabobank businesses covering all parts of the world. Top responsibilities Responsible for designing, leading, structuring and driving global assessments to execution, covering products, policies and processes, risks and controls, first and second line of responsibility, projects/ change programs, support systems and people; Deliver assessments with actionable conclusions, that strengthen Rabobank’s Compliance Function and contribute to Rabobank goals; Ability to analyze how policy implementations result in effective management of compliance risks; Facilitate empowered teams to support the monitoring activities, while acting as a coach towards Compliance Monitoring Officers fostering an inclusive work environment. Value the diversity within the team and promote teamwork based on building on each other’s strengths and supporting opportunities to learn and grow; Support the monitoring planning process, while meeting the team’s targets and delivering assessments on time; Responsible for compiling and reporting on monitoring assessment results timely, correctly and properly; Developing and improving efficient and effective collaboration processes by using Data Analytics, Machine Learning and other “RegTech” innovations; Strong sparring partner for management, both within Compliance and the business, with thorough knowledge of the business and applicable laws and regulations; Research, keep abreast of and share own knowledge and relevant developments in compliance and monitoring themes across the financial services industry, including relevant Tech developments; Willing to travel occasionally. You and your talent Expert knowledge and experience with the key compliance themes including Treating Customers Fairly, Data privacy, Record Keeping, Compliance aspects of ESG, Market Abuse, Anti-Corruption and Conflicts of Interest; University degree or comparable level of work experience required, together with a completed certified Compliance professional/Officer education or willing to start this education; At least 10 years of audit and/or monitoring experience in Compliance (or Compliance-related), in depth experience with monitoring techniques, tools and Rabobank’s Risk and Control Framework; Strong understanding of Rabobank products, policies and processes, risks and controls, 3 Lines of Responsibility Model, projects/ change programs, support systems and people; Strong data analytics skills with sound knowledge of Machine Learning and other “RegTech” innovations; must be able to provide timely and accurate data analysis; Demonstrated experience of working in the financial industry within an international context, preferably within Banking (Wholesale, Financial Markets and/or Commercial); Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing, including high quality writing skills in English; We are also looking for the following soft skills: Impeccable integrity and reliability; Learner mindset and eye for continuous improvement needs; Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, ability to establish positive and effective working relationships; Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate an interest in team goals; Demonstrated experience with Agile way of working to bring people, processes, data & technology together to find the most effective approach to carry out the assessments; Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective problem solving skills; Self-starter with willingness to improve performance, learn and meeting new challenges. This is what we offer you Up to €7.307,58 gross per month (scale 10); Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance; An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion.
