Dev Ops engineer GCOB - FEC

You will work in a challenging and international environment to enable the bank in providing relevant financial services to our clients, so that the world is fed. You are an all-round DevOps engineer and part of a T-shaped DevOps team that realizes the bank’s digital ambitions within the wholesale domain, while closely collaborating with business and IT stakeholders.

The Wholesale & Rural organization within Tech supports the wholesale bank across the globe. The Client Banker and Data Services tribe delivers and supports global business systems, including process automation in the areas of Client Relationship Management, Client Onboarding, Client Data Management, Document- and Case Management. The delivery cluster has a global responsibility and services over 20+ locations divided in multiple regions. The delivery unit is working closely with strategic programs within other domains to realize the bank’s digital transformation.

Making a difference You can be a key success factor in meeting those ambitions within the GCOB team. GCOB (Global Client On-Boarding, a Customer Due Diligence platform for wholesale clients) is the platform that enables CDD specialists to conduct periodic reviews or event-driven reviews of clients worldwide. All new regulatory standards and compliance requirements are managed on the platform to ensure we remain In Control as a bank. As the CDD landscape is constantly changing, the team must be flexible and able to thrive and adapt in a complex environment.

With each other Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our DevOps team brings talented people together from multiple locations. We are one team, mainly situated in the UK and The Netherlands. We currently have weekly releases and aim for high standards of quality, stability and continuity. With you included, the team will have about 45 diverse colleagues in a variety of roles. Your main competence is focussed on operations with a T-shaped attitude. You are able to professionally handle requests and incidents of a demanding international user base while also being involved in change and improvement activities. You are focussed on delivering high quality and value while continuously striving for further improvements.

Your contribution Objectives and responsibility of a GCOB DevOps Engineer: Ensure and improve the stability and performance of the platform:

You are driven by continuous improvement and you can create and maintain tools for monitoring, testing and automation of manual activities. You have in-depth development expertise and combine it with broad knowledge about other fields such as test and deployment automation. You are concerned with developing changes, improvements and fixes on our software components. Develop system infrastructure (IaC; Infrastructure as Code) to improve developer capacity and productivity:

You are a competent coder that can automate and maintain infrastructure independently and in collaboration with other internal teams that support the GCOB technical stack. You work for the GCOB team with a T-shaped profile. For example defining technical requirements, process improvements and automating manual processes. System security and compliance:

You are familiar with current security and compliance standards in the banking environment. You are technically competent to scope and implement relevant industry standards within our system environment and you are effective at briefing other internal support teams and ensuring work is completed effectively. For example managing vulnerabilities, static code analysis and secure production deployments. Communicative team player who is good at building relationships:

You support the developers internally with your solutions and you liaise with other Rabobank infrastructure teams on a daily basis. You can build strong relationships and collaborate well with others to deliver robust solutions. Time management:

You are able to manage your time between ad hoc tasks and larger projects. You are familiar with prioritization in a scrum environment and are able to plan and deliver work effectively.

Your profile We are most interested in your attitude and appetite to learn and adapt to an ever-changing technology platform. As DevOps engineer we would ideally want you to have: A higher education degree in IT 5+ years Azure cloud infrastructure experience At least 2 years’ experience as DevOps engineer on Enterprise scale Azure projects On-premises to Azure migration project experience (desirable) Experience with designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of and experience with Agile, Scrum and DevOps ways of working Excellent English communication skills (Dutch would be an advantage) An affinity with business processes and objectives of the Banking industry (large enterprise IT environments is desirable) Technologies Required Microsoft Azure technologies including as much as possible of:
