Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: SPECIALIST, SEGMENT COORDINATOR, AUTOMOTIVE EMEA DEPARTMENT The EMEA Automotive segment team is responsible for growing profitable sales of the Automotive Polymer product portfolio (PP, PP compounds, Engineering Thermoplastics) in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The EMEA Automotive Segment Team includes 37 employees, working in Commercial and Market Development & Technical Support teams, located in different countries, with a strong presence in the Netherlands. Looking for a pivotal role in the SABIC Automotive Team, to drive operational excellence with the aim to maximize sales efficiency and profitability at regional level, in alignment with the other regions?... this position might be for you! JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES The Segment Coordinator (SECO) provides business and operations support to Automotive segment, which includes business analysis, KPI’s analysis, budgeting and planning, pricing analysis and price setting proposal, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) project management and operations support. He/She develops 5-year business plan with the EMEA segment Leader considering profitability of assets and region. These activities require close collaboration with the OEM Leaders and Account Managers as well as cross-functional coordination and alignment with other Automotive regions, Products Business Units, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Technology & Innovation and other Segments. The regional scope: 31 countries, 11 production locations, 500 customers, > 500 grade/color combinations, 8 distributors. Business Management: Analyze and identify gaps with improvement plan in alignment with the Automotive EMEA segment leader based on monthly, quarterly and yearly segment performance. Contributes to inputs for regional S&OP to ensure continuous improvement in segment performance globally. Creates operational excellence through production, sales forecast and demand allocation in the region and establish operating rhythm to review various KPIs against set targets. Collaborates with Product BUs to manage the impact on Automotive market of new product development launches, product phase-out, enhancement, and optimization. Pricing Strategy: Creates and determines the segment grades pricing strategy. Works with product line BU to align on pricing mechanism and to deliver margin improvement opportunities. Initiates and executes strategy to drive increasing value pricing differentiation by creating innovative Pricing programs and empowering Sales team within market to drive pricing behaviors that will maximize profitability. Evaluates and makes decisions on customer pricing offers & value proposition with strong understanding of the market dynamics to ensure we achieve the targeted market share at each key account. Market Strategy: builds knowledge on different asset operation, market dynamic and customer requirements fulfillment from the different countries within the EMEA region. Drive value deployment / market share growth, contracts management, customer segmentation, channel management through working closely with other stakeholders to realize business targets. Drive and integrate business & market needs to develop and optimize the business performance. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS B.S. degree in Business Administration, Supply chain, Commercial – Master’s degree preferred 5- 7 years of experience in a Finance/Commercial/Supply Chain role Strong analytical thinking and commercial acumen Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence, and support at all levels of the organization Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize workload Ability to scope and deliver key projects and continuous improvement initiatives to drive financial performance Innovative: find and seek new ways of doing things, adapt to an ever-changing landscape Ability to work collaboratively with a global team, and deliver results in a matrix organization This list summarizes the preferred requirements, nevertheless candidates who don’t meet all the requirements will be considered based on their ability to develop and acquire those capabilities.
