Yale New Haven Health (YNHH) seeks a strategic, dynamic, and distinguished executive to serve as its next Senior Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate (SVP). This is an amazing opportunity at one of the most respected healthcare institutions in the U.S. Yale New Haven Health is a 1,541-bed academic medical center, which includes Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, and Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. YNHH has two inpatient campuses in New Haven: a 1,000+ bed campus based on York Street and the 500+ bed Saint Raphael Campus that has major tower expansion underway. The hospital includes numerous outpatient specialty centers and diagnostic services throughout the state. Backed by the exceptional faculty and resources of Yale School of Medicine, YNHH offers more than 90 residency and fellowship programs, providing outstanding clinical training and research opportunities. YNHH receives national and international referrals and is nationally recognized for its commitment to teaching and clinical research. YNHH has been a Magnet designated hospital since 2011 through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Senior Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate is a key member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for setting the strategy and vision for YNHH’s corporate facilities division consisting of engineering, design, and construction. The SVP will develop and evaluate multiple strategies while considering future strategic objectives, institutional needs, real estate opportunities, and community development initiatives. The successful executive must be able to demonstrate and communicate a sterling record of achieving complex outcomes in partnership with private, public and government stakeholders. They must also be a visionary leader who is invested in YNHH’s strategic priorities and its campus master plan and can distill their vision into attainable goals and outcomes in collaboration with multiple teams. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering or architecture and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible management as a senior leader in the field of engineering, facility management, planning/construction or related areas with knowledge of health care facilities is required.
