Do you have a firm interest in entrepreneurship and the financing of renewable energy in emerging markets in Africa and beyond? Are you able to translate reporting needs into data and reporting applications? Do you enjoy working within an international, closely-knit team? We are looking for a Data Management & Reporting Officer in Amsterdam. Function Because of an increasing level of activities, we aim to expand the Amsterdam Coordination Team for the Finance Catalyst, a finance access facility of GET.invest. As Data Management & Reporting Officer you will be in charge of a variety of monitoring & evaluation, data collection, reporting, administration and organisational tasks within the team, facilitating the 30+ team of financial advisors of the GET.invest Finance Catalyst, and also facilitating the other GET.invest market services. After a familiarisation period, you will independently manage these tasks. Responsibilities Contribute to the development of the monitoring & evaluation guidelines of GET.invest, of its core services including the Finance Catalyst, and of other GET.invest market services Retrieve and organise data from our database for standardised reporting Respond to structural and ad-hoc data requests, often within short time lines, while assuring high quality outputs Contribute to the further development of the database of GET.invest services Liaise with the international team of advisors for inputs and to check on impact and other data requests Key user and liaison person for the development of the oracle based-workflow management and impact reporting application, Delphi The GET.invest Finance Catalyst The GET.invest Finance Catalyst and the other GET.invest market services link renewable energy projects and companies with finance opportunities and vice versa, currently in sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific region. The Amsterdam Coordination Team manages the global expert team of the GET.invest Finance Catalyst, handles the programme administration and monitoring, and reports to GET.invest. Profile You have demonstrated that you are good at monitoring & evaluation, data collection, data analysis and reporting. You are well-organised, good at setting priorities and maintaining overview and you have a fine eye for detail. You are service-oriented, communicative and solution-oriented and meet the following criteria: Master diploma in a relevant field e.g. Economics, Econometrics, Business Administration or Project Management At least 4 years of professional experience in data collection and analysis, in monitoring and evaluation, and in developing and preparing reports in international programmes in the renewable energy sector Firm interest in business models and financing of renewable energy in Africa and other emerging markets Great analytical skills: the ability to make sense of data Great communication skills: explain data to a wide group of stakeholders A good understanding of renewable energy technicalities (understanding of terms like installed capacity, emission reductions in tons of CO2 equivalents, energy produced in MWh/year, storage capacity of batteries in MWh etc) Proven ability to co-develop and manage ICT systems for data management and reporting Previous exposure to working in Africa or in other emerging and developing economies Profound English language skills required for handling high-level professional interactions and detailed documentation (CEFR, proficient user, level C2) Living in the Amsterdam region, available for at least 3 days a week presence in the office Work permit valid for the Netherlands Valued experience We highly value candidates who are deeply connected to and have a strong understanding of markets in Africa and other regions of the Global South.
