POST SUMMARY NAPMA is a NATO Agency responsible to plan, acquire, and deliver improvements to and support the sustainment of the NATO AEW&C capabilities, while ensuring technical airworthiness, following the guidance of the NAPMO Nations.Within the Agency and specifically in the Programme Management Division, the Information Assurance Specialist provides information assurance (IA) expertise during the design, development, test, evaluation, accreditation, and deployment of the Final Lifetime Extension Programme (FLEP) modernisation effort2. PRINCIPAL DUTIESThe Information Assurance Specialist is responsible to the Information Assurance Engineer (PMA01) for the following duties:- Providing IA engineering expertise during the design, development, test, and deployment of NE-3A modernisation projects; NATO UNCLASSIFIED NATO UNCLASSIFIED - Supporting IA security accreditation activities with NAEW&CF and contractor representatives in order to meet programme timelines; - Reviewing and amending updating security accreditation related documentation for NE3A modernisation projects; - Supporting the FLEP CIS Security Officer (PMA92) in implementing security operations procedures, auditing technical controls, monitoring/auditing FLEP CIS and incident response. - Utilizing security incident event management and security log analysis tools to identify security issues and develop assessments. - Representing NAPMA during IA related interactions with industry, the NAEW&C Force, and other NATO organisations; - Participating in programme activities with contractors to include, but not limited to, proposal evaluations, documentation reviews, technical interchange meetings, management and design reviews, and related engineering activities; - Monitoring contractor technical performance against allocated requirements;- Coordinating with other divisions, offices and branches within NAPMA to ensure Information Assurance engineering activities are properly addressed at the sub-system and system level; - Participating in the FLEP risk management process by identifying risk, developing risk mitigation strategies and tracking risk burn-down activities; - Evaluating contractor deliverables, ensuring all meet contractual obligations. 3. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND ADDITIONAL DUTIESThe incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as directed.4. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 4 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 6 years post-related experience.- At least 5 years of experience in information technology or security in an avionics and / or Command and Control (C2) environment; Experience with voice and data communications supporting Air C2 operations; Specific knowledge of NATO in general and NAEW&C Programme in particular; - Experience as a system administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based operating systems and network infrastructure, such as routers, switches, and firewalls. - Possession of a recognized industry information technology/security certification such as Security +, CCNA or equivalents. - Be able to easily operate in an international environment over a wide range of staff levels, to include working independently and be able to prepare clear and logical reports. 5. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- Engineering/program management background in a related field;- Current knowledge and experience with NATO CIS Security accreditation and related NATO security policies and supporting directives.- Knowledge and working experience with Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) processes, security log analysis and associated industry standard tools.- Knowledge and working experience of securing network devices and Windows/UNIX based operating systems.- Experience in a multi-national acquisition program; NATO UNCLASSIFIED NATO UNCLASSIFIED - Practical experience working with NAPMA, NAEW&C Force Command and / or NE-3A Component. - Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or equivalent.6. LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS NATO’s two official languages are English and French. The work of this post is conducted in English, therefore fluency in that language is essential.7. COMPETENCIES/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS All NAPMA personnel are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the current NATO Code of Conduct agreed by the North Atlantic Council, and thus display the core values of integrity, impartiality, loyalty, accountability and professionalism. 8.
