Ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders. •

Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools (preferably Power BI) •

Experience working with large datasets and databases. •

Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies. •

On the less technical side we expect that you: •

Have a strong business interest and want to use data to make the best decisions to grow our circular services. •

Have a positive attitude and excellent communication and presentation skills. •

Familiar with working in a cross-functional product team. We try to learn from each other’s perspectives all the time. •

Are a team player who takes ownership, builds cross-functional relationships and loves sharing knowledge.

This is our wish list! If you don’t recognize yourself in all these points, you might still be an excellent candidate for the role. We like to think long-term and invest in people’s development together with us.

What you'll be doing day to day

You will conduct advanced data exploration and analyses that deliver insights, which support and enable data-driven decision-making for our Buyback service. Our vision is to transform into a circular business by 2030, through developing customer facing circular services for the many. Currently we have two services in our portfolio: Buyback & Resell and As-Is Online. And we are launching two new services this fiscal year: IKEA Preloved (a marketplace) and a Repair Hub. Exciting times ahead!

Our team within Ikea

You are part of the Data & Machine Learning team together with other Data Analysts and Data Engineers (and potentially Data Scientists and ML Engineers in the future). Together, you join cross-functional product teams consisting of colleagues from Engineering, Product and Design (PEDX), to design, implement and deploy products at scale. Your job is a mix of understanding business needs, designing data solutions – and of course writing code.

This role is based in Amsterdam, in our Digital hub that is housing up to 500 co-workers, located in the harbour area north-west of the city centre. We see so many opportunities for what we can accomplish and have the ambition to be a world class team. At the same time, we believe that our work is not just about solving business problems, but also about learning and having fun together.

WE CAN OFFER YOU •

Work on some exciting problems as described above. Moreover, you are encouraged to spot new opportunities or to collaborate with Data & Machine Learning colleagues in other specialist teams. •

Opportunities to have global impact with your work, both for people and planet. •

Flexible and modern tools: we deploy on Google Cloud Platform, and we use a lot of open-source tools across the board. •

Hardware and OS of your choice. •

A team of great colleagues to learn with and from (with world-class experience across all aspects of Data Analytics). •

Continuous learning (we aim to spend 20% of our working time on learning). •

Flexible and friendly working environment.
