challenge As a CAPEX team leader you are leading a project engineer team for an effective management of all Capital Expenditure projects for Nunspeet Factory equipment and infrastructure, ensuring all aspects are performed in accordance with Nestle Standard and best practices, procedures are executed with safety and environmental compliance at the forefront. Also, responsible for ensuring that the financial management of all such projects is always maintained to a high degree of accuracy. As CAPEX Team Leader you have the following responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, and promoting a safe working environment through the project lifecycles; assign projects/tasks, manage resources, and facilitate collaboration among the factory to achieve project objectives but also managing directly project; lead and coordinate project team and maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the project team mission and objectives; ensure that there exists within the Project team an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations regarding people, (product) quality or the environment; manage the selection/recruitment of the team members by ensuring that the team processes the required skill levels and that all relevant management functions are represented; support PE (Project Engineer) in the definition of the Project Baseline (Scope/WBS, Schedule, Budget). Detailed technical, product and project Scope into work packages and activities that enable accurate estimates and resources allocation; ensure that requirements and inputs from the operational team are captured and incorporated at an early stage; ensure that when working with external engineering services, contractors, suppliers etc. that the scope, deliverables, performance and milestones are clearly detailed and agreed up front; to conduct regular engineering and project control reviews with the project team in order to ensure that the project execution is on track (safety, quality, cost & schedule) and to identify and implement remedial action(s) in case of any deviation from project objectives; ensure that the design is directed towards a low cost, highly efficient and flexible operation; to ensure that the adequate project control systems needed to manage the risk, cost and schedule are timely in place; to ensure the implementation of the state-of-the-art technical solutions and to ensure compliance with internal and external quality, safety and ecology standards; to ensure the successful hand-over the project to the user-team including the right level of training and correct documentation; continuously challenge the way things are done and be always looking for opportunities. As CAPEX Team Leaderyou report to the Head of Engineering and you are part of the Engineering department of Nestlé Netherlands in Nunspeet. What we are looking for in our CAPEX Team Leader? Bachelor’s Degree in the direction of mechanical or maintenance Engineering with a minimum experience in areas of engineering, project or maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment; excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team; ability to coach and develop people and enable results through others; problem-solving and decision-making abilities to quickly address project issues and make sound judgments; proven knowledge of project management; proven experience in the execution of project; excellent communication in Dutch and English, team interaction and presentation skills; the skills to work independently as well as lead/participate on cross functional teams; proven experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.
