Our client is looking for a Vice President Corporate M&A to grow their M&A team.

Since their inception, our client has acquired several medium-sized family-owned businesses in various European countries. Their ambitions are growing, with plans to make multiple strategic acquisitions annually to expand their market share in Europe. They are currently seeking a VP Corporate M&A to join their expanding team in Rotterdam, which already includes top professionals with proven track records. They are backed by one of the world’s most successful infrastructure investors, which has over $38 billion in assets under management and invest across Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America.

About the role As Vice President, you will manage large parts of the M&A processes, strategic projects and integration support. You will maintain good connections and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and advisors. Your key objective is to deliver progress and quality of deal(s), thereby directly contributing to long-term value creation for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Effectively leading and managing activities related to M&A execution including the negotiation of transaction documentation, financial modeling, due diligence, and closing & integration activities. - Efficiently leading and coordinating due diligence processes and managing multidisciplinary teams and external advisors. - Reporting on the progress and results of M&A projects with senior management and board members. - Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to identify and evaluate new (strategic) opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or relevant field. - Proven track record and experience in (international) M&A with 8-12 years of experience in investment analysis, corporate development, transaction advisory or corporate finance in a deals environment . - Excellent analytical skills, and ability to negotiate transaction structures and legal documentation. - Experience in building and reviewing financial models, with strong MS Office skills, e.g., Excel & PowerPoint - High level of energy, results, and relationship-driven, with demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently, meet demanding deadlines, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Excellent people skills, to build strong relationships with advisors, internal and external stakeholders - Ability to motivate and coach a team of multiple disciplines to achieve the highest quality results - Fluent in English; Dutch, Italian and/or Spanish is a plus
