Job description Plan, implement, and oversee the quality assurance policies and procedures Monitor and analyse quality metrics and data, identifying areas for improvement Verify conformance on all first piece, in-process and final inspection of products Assure timely calibration and record keeping of all measuring equipment Respond to quality surveys, questionnaires and corrective action requests Support the quality function through testing, inspection, auditing, capability studies, cost of quality studies and other related projects as assigned Work with Production staff to create custom packaging Supervise and train quality assurance personnel in techniques and practices Visit suppliers and customers as required to assure quality of incoming materials and outgoing product, including auditing and 2nd party certification Coordinate to resolve quality issues and ensure customer satisfaction Lead interaction with project teams regarding the aspects of new product launch Audit host and lead, conduct internal audits ensuring compliance Maintain external accreditations and contacts with suppliers and institutions Job requirements In order to qualify for this versatile and challenging position, required are at least the following criteria: Relevant qualification in Quality Assurance, certified Quality Auditor Relevant experience 5+ years, within a Manufacturing or Engineering business Knowledge of ISO9001, IATF 16949 (automotive), AS9100 Excellent attention to detail and communication skills An analytical, methodical and thorough approach to work is necessary for this role Able to work in a fast -paced environment and skilled at multi-tasking.
