For a venture capital firm, based in Amsterdam, we are currently looking for a Fund Controller (m/v/x). The candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and is responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support investment. Key Responsibilities of the Fund Controller in Amsterdam:

Financial Management and Reporting:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and/or IFRS

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and financial insights to senior management

Investment Analysis and Support:

• Conduct financial due diligence and analysis for potential investments
• Support the investment team with financial modelling and valuation analysis
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform investment decisions

Audit and Compliance:

• Coordinate and oversee annual audits and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy

Cash Management and Treasury:

• Manage cash flow planning and ensure funds are available for investment opportunities
• Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and investment of excess cash

Tax

• Identify and mitigate potential tax issues for the fund as it relates to investments and fund structure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a similar role within the venture capital or private equity industry
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws in the Netherlands/UK
