Product Line Controller

Your challenge as Global Product Line Controller As a Global Product Line Controller you will contribute to the creation and execution of product line strategy and achievement of financial objectives for 3 product lines: Chelates, Solution Biopolymers and Emulsion Polymers. You will drive delivery of the strategic goals by creating (forward- looking) performance insights and management information. You will supporting our commercial and innovation growth agenda aimed at short & long-term growth of our product lines which have a strong focus on our strategic end markets: Agro, Home & Personal Care, Paints & Coatings and Natural Resources. In this role you act as an objective trusted and challenging partner to peers and seniors in decision making with regards to investment decisions, price setting and profitability analysis. You will be a financial business partner for the Product Director, Product Managers, and Marketing Director. Maintaining focus, working independently and getting things done is essential within this role. Other key responsibilities: •

Business proposal and project support: You perform cost benefit analysis related to business projects and/or programs. Moreover you manage the development of business proposals from finance perspective, incl. scenario planning. You support capex proposals and related financial calculations and investment decisions. You also develop asset benchmarking analyses. Finally, you support or lead product line related projects. You participate in the development of various budgets (product line P&L, capex, OWC, cashflow). Moreover, you collect budget data, complete budget status reports and analyze budget patterns. You identify budget issues, provide alternative solutions and help in the resolution of problems. You flag control gaps and develop and optimize processes where fit. •

Financial analysis: You extract financial data from various accounting and information systems and perform financial analyses of business figures maximizing the use of standard management reports, both P&L and balance sheet data. You also interpret financial data to determine past performance and/or to project the financial profitability. You calculate, classify and summarize financial ‘transactions / events’ in accordance with valid accounting principles. To be successful in this position you have a good understanding of commercial, supply chain and manufacturing related business processes like Forecast-to-Plan, Order-to-cash and Record-to-Report. You have experience with large capex investment business cases. You have excellent understanding of the different profitability ratios and working capital related KPI’s, preferably in chemical industry. Furthermore, you have a lot of ambition to drive change and to add value. We believe you bring Experience with finance systems like SAP, BW, SQL and Hyperion, as well as (supply chain) planning systems. Moreover you have applied knowledge of visualization, techniques for creating images, diagrams, or animations to communicate a message. Furthermore, you have/are: • You have at least a MSc in the field of Economics, Business Administration or Finance. • You have a minimum of 7 years work experience in difference finance roles. You own competences such as critical thinking, prioritizing, and organizing work. You are a self-starter and take initiatives for improvements. • You have excellent English communication skills and ability to communicate with various levels and functions within the organization.
